“As Canadians, We’re offended.”
You know how when you go to a show and everyone in the crowd is singing as loud as they can along with the band? Until last night I have never been to a show where this is not the case. Last night as Dallas Green came onto the stage with the rest of his band I was prepared to sing it out the rest of the night. Once he started in though I couldn’t help but notice that everyone was singing, but closer to a whisper then a yell. It was the only show I have ever been to where to crowd held back so they could hear only him. They were phenominal. As for Dallas, I didn’t know it was possible for someone to sound the same if not better live than on their record. The emotion in both bands that played, The Low Anthem, and City and Colour, and the emotion reflecting off of the crowd was enough to remind me exactly why I’m going into live sound. They were both brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
